Using The Hidden Counter...

This is what you'll see from the
counter...
Right mouse click and refresh the page and check the link above...
( White or light background is displayed above, I also have made one in Black, Blue & Dark Blue )
Black Counter Blue Counter Dark Blue Counter Counter are set inside a frame of the same color...
NOTE: You'll have to be on a server that supports ASP
| 1 - | Copy the image " hidden_white.gif " to your " _private " directory. |
| 2 - | Insert your counter as a " Custom Picture " " _private/hidden_white.gif " |
| 3 - | Set your starting " Reset count to " what ever number you want. |
| 4 - | Set the number of " Fixed number of digits " to what ever you want. |
| 5 - | Save your work... |
| 6 - | Look in your " _private " directory and find the file with a " .cnt " extension which points to the page your counter is insert in, in this case it's " test.htm.cnt " |
| 7 - | Make note of that name. |
| 8 - | Create a new page and use " Insert HTML " and copy the code below into that page. <!-- #INCLUDE FILE="_private\test.htm.cnt" --> Change the " test.htm.cnt " to the name referred to in step # 7 |
| 9 - | Save this page as an .ASP file, in this case " counter.asp ". |
| 10 - | When you want to check your page count just call up that URL, in this case " http://www.alberta-ca.com/frontpage/counter.asp " |
